DISCLAIMER
Testing & Application Responsibility
Before full application, users must conduct a small-scale test on a sample material to determine suitability. This includes testing with a controlled flame (e.g., match test) to assess the effectiveness of the treatment. The end-user is solely responsible for verifying proper application and ensuring the product meets their specific needs.
Limited Liability
Flame Retardant Solutions (Pty) Ltd is not responsible for any damage, loss, or failure resulting from how the product is applied, used, or maintained. Since application conditions vary, we cannot guarantee consistent results across different materials and environments.
No Fireproof Guarantee
Our flame retardant reduces flammability but does not make materials fireproof or eliminate fire risk. Proper fire safety measures, building codes, and legal requirements must still be followed. This product does not replace fire prevention strategies or professional fire safety recommendations.

The use and application of this product are entirely at the user’s own risk. Flame Retardant Solutions (Pty) Ltd will not be liable for any injuries, damages, financial losses, or legal consequences arising from product use.

At Flame Retardant Solutions, we are committed to the highest standards of fire safety, product transparency, and customer education. That’s why we provide a detailed Safety Data Sheet (SDS), fully compliant with South African regulations (SANS 10234:2019 and SANS 11014:2010).
Our SDS offers essential information on the safe use, handling, and storage of our water-based fire retardant, which is designed for application on fabrics, natural fibres, cardboard, and untreated wood. As a proudly South African business, we believe every customer—from homeowners and DIY users to contractors and retailers—deserves to work with products that are both effective and transparent in their safety profile.
The formulation is halogen-free, non-toxic, and eco-friendly, avoiding harmful substances like fluorine, chlorine, bromine, and iodine. We value user safety and environmental protection just as much as we value fire resistance. The SDS includes:
